Nano Brew Show Recap

Thanks so much to all who came out, the folks at the Lamont Street Collective, Kyle Gildea for making the nano brews, LA Johnson for the art, and Peyote Pilgrim for getting the party started with an awesome set (they are working on a new album, and I think they’re using a 4 in. reel to reel, so that’ll be something to look forward to).

Memorial Day(s) Past and Present

On Memorial Day Weekend last year, I was in SF and cut a demo of this track with some friends.

In 2010, I was at Alpine Red Studios recording “Simple Observations.

This year, we were back in the studio, finishing up vocals on the new album. It was a rough start to the day, but we ended up getting some really great sounding things recorded.

One of the new tracks on the album will be a full band version of Nothing is Broken. Here is an acoustic demo of the track I cut at Alpine Red in late December, 2013.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy the way the way the song takes shape over time. I’ll probably be releasing some more of these acoustic demos over the coming months, hope you enjoy.

For posterity, then (2010)

June Art Show

Hello,

So most importantly, save the date

June 28. 1822 Lamont St NW. 8pm.

There will be music, and you can preview some of the new prints for our songs.

Also, in case you were worried, we have been doing some live shows, here’s one of Erika and I at the Treehouse Lounge

Van the Man

We here at the Scene love him.

Here’s a list of his albums, ranked worst to first.

Also, I strained some muscle this AM having to sit in the seats on the bus right by the back exit. They are usually avoided because of the lack of legroom, but I didn’t have a choice this AM.

Such problems.

Gettin’ Mellow

Tyler, Erika, and I played the Mellow Mushroom last Thursday night. Then I spent the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday down at Alpine Red working with Chip and everyone else on the new album.

We are making progress.
